Booking a Trip
To book your trip, scroll to the bottom of this page, find a suitable date (make a note) and complete the booking form & submit. It’s important that we understand who the trip is for and any specific passenger needs or access requirements. We’re always happy to discuss this with you beforehand, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.Passenger Limits

As a charity, we are committed to making trips on Poppy accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstances. We believe everyone should have the chance to experience the freedom and joy of being on the water. Donations are always welcome, but never essential.Your support helps us continue to offer this unique experience. Every donation, no matter the size is gratefully received and directly supports our charitable work.Each trip costs our charity £100’s to run, so we suggest a voluntary donation of £60 per trip. Donations can be made securely through our website. As a charity, we are committed to ensuring everyone can enjoy a trip on Poppy.Weather
For safety of our passengers we retain the option to cancel a booking if the weather looks unfavourable. We'll always do our best to keep you informed in advance.
2026 Timetable
Our 2026 timetable for trips aboard Poppy, including the departure quay, is shown below.
Trips are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and all bookings must be confirmed by our admin team.
Dates that are crossed out have already been booked. If your preferred date is unavailable, don’t worry, we operate a cancellation list. Simply contact us, and we’ll get in touch if the date becomes available.
Trips are normally 80 minutes, except those marked * . Due to very high tides, can last up to 120 minutes.

Poppy is a specially designed boat with a front-lowering ramp, enabling safe and dignified access for wheelchair users and passengers with a wide range of disabilities.To help us run trips safely and comfortably, it is important that we understand who the trip is for and the needs of all passengers. This form must be completed and signed by the Trip Organiser and returned to us at least 14 days before the trip..Trips operate to a set timetable and are governed by the tide times. The current timetable can be found on our website: www.wheelyboatpoppy.org.Poppy can carry a maximum of 5 people with a combined weight of 325kg, which includes all passengers and any wheelchairs. We will always do our best to meet individual needs and accommodate requirements wherever possible.All trips are operated by trained volunteers and are currently free of charge. Each trip costs over £110 to run, so we suggest a minimum voluntary donation of £60 per trip. Donations can be made via our donate button on website. Form to be filled out and signed by the Trip Organiser.
